PDF: ‘Pub Quiz #5 – We are all on a no-fly list, are you?’ – Anarcho-nihilist flyposter zine by anti-social hooligans

As part of Dark Matter Publications and in line with the nihilist ethos of the project we present this latest zine by some anti-social hooligans in Bristol. It’s made up of cut-n-paste flyposters that have been spread around the city and the originals are collected here for the first time. These are not professional posters of the official movement, but dirty DIY amateur efforts about topics as diverse as police repression, eco-action, surveillance and consumerism. This is what happens when fevered twisted minds get hold of stationary and scissors. Being mainly flyposters, the zine contains pretty much no prolonged verbal diarrhea, long-winded sectarian tripe or boring pontifications posing as critical theory or whatever.

If you are anarchist accept the idea, if you have not done so already, that you could end up in prison sooner or later, and there are different paths that can lead you in.
If you are anarchist, in the first place, you have to be careful what you keep in house: the common things, more or less usual, in the cops’ expertise become components of devices or explosives; a story we have seen recently, by the way, in Bologna too, with a comrade ended up in AS of Ferrara prison. Even books, pamphlets and texts, the so-called „paper documents”, become evidences of affiliation with the terrorist organizations.
And then, there are the classic crimes of association, usually the 270bis, that allow the cops to put you in prison without even bothering to provide „concrete” elements.
Basically, the paths are many, but the reason is only one: be irreducibly aligned against the power.
If I’m saying this things it is certainly not to complain about the unfairness of the democratic justice, but to point out how easily an anarchist be incarcerated, despite of his prudence. The awareness of this risk should not frighten us, just help us to be ready.
So, „Scripta Manent” comes, certainly, as no surprise, it is a repressive attack on which the only one doubt was about „when”, but not for sure „if”. An attack of democratic regime against those who, inside it, still refuses to submit to the values and to the morality of dominion, placing himself not in a conciliatory perspective of dialogue and compromise, but in the open conflict with the power. „The State is not thinkable without lordship and servitude. For the State it is indispensable that nobody have an own will; if one had, the State would have to exclude this one; if all had, they would do away with the State.”
After all, if you end up in prison or not, it is a part of the anarchist path anyway. Because it is a spectre that hangs over your head, because it took friends or the loved ones, or just because it is the foundation of this society we hate („repression is civilization”).
But the constant threat of prison is not enough to suffocate the rage we feel in front of thousands of killed and tortured animals every day, in front of entire ecosystems wiped out by the voracity of technological society, in front of million of individuals forced to alienation in their workplaces or in the infamous prisons or in the concentration camps for migrants, in front of people killed by hunger and wars.
And how could you bow your head resigned in front of the continuous interference of the State in our lives?
This society in which, like in a shopping mall, everything has its price, everything can be bought and sold, if you have money to do it, this society based on profit at any cost will have always an extreme enemy, who is not willing to trade his life and his dignity at any price. The money is the only engine of this system of death and misery. The State legitimate the money, the police protect it, the newspapers give voice to its lies. The anarchists refuse it and attack it.
Solidarity with the arrested, suspected and searched in the operation „Scripta Manent”.
Solidarity with those who in this world pay the price for opposing this system of domination.
With those who under a grey sky choose to provoke storm.
For a world build on the ruins of this.

Starting with the introduction to this blog it has to be said that there will be no spectacularized commodification of its contents so as to make them products for adoption and justify its existence. Its existence stands on values of persons and not of ideologies. Inside the capitalist alienation of commodification of personalities and ideas the anarchist speech that intends to deconstruct all systems needs to be carefully used in its expression as not to fall into the trap of offering yet another product of civilisation. By diving into the deepest pits of our own being we unfold chaotic flashes which seek to affirm life against control, the machines of the technological sewer and the compromised communication of the internet as well as to defy and desecrate the abstractions of the Law. We believe there are many individual positions on anarchy and generally perceptions that are not being communicated because of the lack of a certain culture, a product of civilization. But this is exactly what we want to destroy. The standards that make alienation defying personal thinking and acting to be impossible but instead it has to step on certain foundations to unfold. To go beyond a reified use of language, to destroy and create with personal content annihilating all abstractions of civilised systematization which are products of societal domination and thus seek to unchain the plurality of chaos. Most important is to say that this experimentation is not here to ”enlighten” anyone about how they ”should” act and why. There have been many idealists in anarchist thinking of which whoever wants to buy hope or something to grasp on for the breach of their existential void can read. There are also many manicheans who reek of a sense of duty for those who like a sense of belonging. This experiment belongs to no fictional tendency nor will it try imperatively to raise one with the danger of creating a product for the sterilized consumers of the epoch of utmost depersonalization but instead it will aim at creating egoistic bonds which don’t have role models or a known outcome, between individual egos voluntarily away from the imaginary bonds-roles that are created within reactive to society contexts of resistance. This doesn’t mean that the ones who write these lines are an ”elite” or some kind of specialists in anything, on the contrary this comes from someones who want to experiment more in theory and practise with total liberation as a tool of the persons and never the persons in the service of idealistic causes that acquire the form of universal significance. Therefore we are not advocates of the ideologeme of the ”destruction of the existent”, the pillar of political ideological nihilism that raised itself as an unavoidable reaction to the failed management of the exact same sacred values, using a construct named Anarchy as a castle to which the anarchist as a role has given himself according to ”its” needs. When your unique content is crushed under forms of explicit knowledge ideology becomes you unavoidably.
We are against morality and we see ideology as a basic obstacle for realizing ones uniqueness, as well as both of them as basic pillars for the institutionalization of control, roles of society and systems that strengthen and perpetuate civilisation. We see morality as systems of sanctified values that demand compliance, according to the ideological image that anyone has constructed inside their minds and show the ”right path”. Not all forms of morality are extremely condemning whereas some others are. It can come from anyone, it is not connected to certain -isms, in fact it has nothing to do with terms. It is always connected to the way of thinking but most importantly to where the way of thinking originates from and how it unfolds. First of all if we don’t have real personal values coming from how we experience life but reified ideas as values, whether they imply universality or not doesn’t matter, we automatically speak of morality. Any idea, construct of the mind which is uplifted as more real than the one who values it, is an ideological conscience and this is not the conscience of the person but of an Idea with a predefined content, which consequently will bring morality because this idea was never seen as a choice, but as a truth. As the ”right path” and sometimes the ”only path”. There is where politics enthrones itself. We do not belong to any political ideologies. We belong to ourselves. The ideologeme of Anarchy vs Authority creates only new authority over the self, a ”temporary” internalized authority until it ”permanently” destroys ”all authority”. The minds of idealists create new constructs and new roles, but anarchy for us is not this, we see reality in the physical existence as constituted by unique beings who massify themselves when consumed by ideology and moralistic causes, who most of all demand soldiers and sacrifice for the Idea. This is the major problem for everyone. Reification. By using a certain word, a certain role, which contains ”essence” in itself, the ”common cause” is created and then the person, the self sacrifices his own cause on the altar of abstractions. We see all ideologies as chains, whether it takes the name of Anarchy or something from its very nature ideological as Democracy for instance. Even nihilism, everything can become an ideology, we might share common perceptions with some whereas with others nothing, but we will never become part of any of them. Our desire is not to meet and collaborate with Humans or any other construct out of the numerous out there but insurrected persons creating anarchy free of social residues which is mental and corporeal and will never become ”perfect”. This blog has no relation to the scattered promiscuous solidarity which is a characteristic of a plethora of anarchist political circles, as it is against politics and humanistic nature imperatives of Principles for the realization of imaginary revolutionary alienations and movements. As I had already written in a statement a few days ago about the operation "Scripta Manent" ["written words remain"], 32 comrades across the Italy were awakened by the dogs in uniforms at dawn of September 6.
The result of this new operation, ordered by Turin Prosecutor's Office trough its inquisitor Roberto M. Sparagna, is 7 arrested and 15 under investigation.
The eight comrade, editor of Croce Nera [Anarchist Black Cross], Daniele was arrested following the search when are found the batteries and a handbook for electrician.

Apart from Alfredo and Nicola, already in Ferrara's prison for the wounding of Roberto Adinolfi, the other arrested comrades are Alessandro, Marco, Danilo, Valentina and Anna.
The articles 270bis [association for purposes of terrorism], 280 bis [attacks for terrorist or subversive purposes] and 285 [threatening to commit a terrorist crime] are the sum of the alleged offences which started as far back as 2003 and are related to a series of attacks signed by "FAI-Federazione Anarchica Informale", through the cells "“Narodnaja Volja”, “Cooperativa Artigiana Fuoco e Affini (occasionalmente spettacolare)” [Fire and Similar Craftwork Cooperative, occasionally spectacular], “FAI/RAT (Rivolta Anonima e Tremenda)” [Anonymous and Terrible Revolt], and the cell "Olga". The comrades Alfredo and Nicola have assumed the responsibility for their participation in this cell and for the wounding of Adinolfi.
So, another investigation of Informal Anarchist Organization, another attempt to fishing in troubled waters just to ensure the salary which is going to fatten another Savonarola and his family in period between the investigation and the trial.

Am I surprised by just another operation?
Not at all!
If I swim in the ocean voluntary, I know very well that I will meet the sharks sooner or later.
But, these sharks can be sure they can't scare me in my accrossing...
I WILL NOT RETREAT!
Prosecutions, searches, investigations, prisons and trials don't touch me at all. On the contrary, the more I feel you on my back the more I feel the rage...
They will never make me take a step back, and they will never make me change my mind that, from the moment I came into this world against my will, I will do my best to live better in it...
They will never make me change my idea that the direct action is the only weapon to destroy this miserable and opulent existent.

Therefore, I am not a "poor comrade" who has suffered harassment from cops and a judge, because since I realized that I madly love my ideas, I took everything into consideration, with no exceptions.

A small example can be this temporarily reopening of the RadioAzione website which I shut down more than a year ago, and now it will try to update the comrades exclusively on this operation, publishing communiques, solidarity acts and updates on arrested comrades.
It will not be published anything else, and the reasons are the same which led me to shut down the web site in August 2015.
I hope that the non-Italian comrades won't hold it against me, I have many doubts even today about things that I don't know well and I didn't knew well in the past.

It is not a coincidence that I will update only on operation "Scripta Manent".
In this operation are involved the very few comrades, brothers and sisters, the ones I always felt very close in these last twenty years, and with someone of them even more.
Alessandro, Marco, Danilo, Valentina, Anna, Alfredo, Nicola, and Daniele too, will be everyday on my mind until the day I will see them out of the concentration camp of the State.
They will walk with me, in my thoughts, outside the prison walls, bars and special sections.
They will walk with me, in my thoughts, along the dark path which lead to anarchy.

In the end, the national press are reaffirming the same role of inquisitors and jackals, following very carefully a series of anarchist websites to transcript on their toilet paper excerpts of our reflections, accompanying them with their Lombroso-reminiscence analyses.
Especially the center-left press, like good little ships and the voice of the master, in order to hide the fact that the money for the earthquake, and for the previous one, will never be allocated (it will be used for restructuring the bank of the minister Boschi's father), it splash the anarchists and their solidarity communiques across the front page, hoping for comments of idiotic and conservative zombie mass who lives in the suburbs of the net.
But, don't worry, because in our thoughts are also you, journo hacks and jackals.
As every empire that should be destroyed, it begins with destroying the army to reach the kings and the queens.
If the "written words remains", be sure that despite the arrests and searches our ideas will survive too, until the day we will see them realized... but in that world will not be place for you.

last night [06/09] the repression arrested six “free” comrades e two already imprisoned, and invaded the homes of 33 comrades.
This wave of repression struck an aerea of anarchist movement... the area has not representatives and has not mouthpieces, so each one expresses himself according to his consciousness and is responsible for his own words.

Today morning [06/09] news: new repressive operation designed by the Turin Prosecutor to strike the informal FAI [Federazione Anarchica Informale], ugly, dirty and evil, which has nothing to do — as many hacks write — with the Italian anarchist federation [FAI-Federazione Anarhcica Italiana], whose members will finally be happy to have obtained even in the “official” media so long desired licence of respectability; this time they will not have, at least, dissociate themselves publicly.
The operation called “Scripta Manent” led to numerous searches across Italy and arrest of seven insurgents, accused of various direct actions.
Regarding the procedural ways of the filthy spies paid by the dominion: nothing new, their intent is actually clearly unveiled, for the umpteenth time they will try to charge them with the associative crime by building structures and hierarchies on the paper, as ridiculous as predictable. But let us set aside these kind of analysis, we can postpone them for the moments when the picture will be clearer. The only urgent — important — thing in this moment is express the whole possible solidarity to the 7 insurgents, detained by dominion, though we are quite aware that they will know how to face the repression with head held high, as Alfredo and Nicola have done before, also forced actors of this new fiction of Power.

At about 5.00 this morning, September 6, almost like an anniversay or the tax on garbage due, a pack of guard dogs materialized outside my doors.
They were not begging for kibble, cookies or bones, but for weapons, explosives, claims, “Croce Nera Anarchica” [the magazine of Italian ABC], “Pagine in Rivolta” e “KNO3” [anarchists magazines]... With the arrogance typical of watchdogs, they pushed into the house and started rummaging, not before having delivered me the formal invitation signed, not by me of course, but by certain Roberto M. Sparagna, who works as inquisitor on behalf of the Turin Prosecutor.

A part from a few “Cobra” firecrackers and a smoke bomb, they did not find anything else “dangerous”, and gave vent their hunger on the newspapers, pamphlets and posters, especially from Greek and Mexico, the above Italian anarchist publications and others, posters with the FAI/FRI symbols as well as a good amount of correspondence even from decades ago.
After turning my romm upside dow and visiting those of my flatmates, they asked me to accompany them to the police station to list the total of their raid and receive a receipt of confiscation.

Once again, with Septembrian surgical precision, they have unleashed raids and issued notifications; but above all some comrades have been kidnapped, 8 to be precise...
This time, in order to gain a place on the State’s payroll for a few years, the prosecutor RM Sparagna had to fish in troubled waters, going back to events happened since 2003 (I wonder if the next inquisitor will accuse us and arrest us for the “Matese uprisings” ore the “Revolt of Piombino” [XIX sentury]...).
Those that the “wig” on duty is turning to and has summed under “270bis” [anti-terrorist law] are attacks carried out from 2003 onwards with the signature FAI/FRI, not knowing that back in 2004 somone from Rome had tried with “Operation Cervantes” and a couple of years later with the operation against the comrades of the then Croce Nera Anarchica [Anarchist Black Cross].
The arrest of our comrades will not succede in making us retreat, so arm yourself with “holy and inquisitorial” patience because you will have to wake up us at down for a long time... if you will find us still in our beds...

Alfredo, Nicola, Anna, Marco, Alessandro, Daniele, Danilo and Valentina will not be left alone even for a second.
Our thoughts will be with them every moment of their sequestered life, in their every breath, in each one of our steps along the paths of the dark forests.

In the early hours of September 6, an operation coordinated by Digos [political police] of Turin led the searches of 30 homes in various Italian regions (Piedmont, Liguria, Lazio, Umbria, Lombardy, Abruzzo, Campania, Sardinia and Emilia Romagna) and the arrest of five anarchist comrades accused of subversive association with terrorist intent: Anna, Marco, Sandrone, Danilo and Valentina; in addition, a notification in prison for Nicola and Alfredo.
The operation, called “Scripta Manent” [from Latin proverb “verba volant, scripta manent” — spoken words fly away, written words remain], tries to attribute to a single direction a series of direct actions claimed by the Informal Anarchist Organization, reproducing in this way the same repressive strategies of some previous operations, such as Servantes and Boldness (“Ardire”), and trying to impose an associative and vertical structure on the expressions of anarchist conflictuality.

In particular, the attacks inserted in this investigation include the parcel-bombs sent to the CPT’s [retention centres for immigrants] director in Modena in May 2005, to the traffic-cops barracks in Turin-San Salvario and to the chief-police of Lecce (claimed by FAI/Narodnaja Volja), the explosive device against the RIS barracks [carabinieri forensics] in Parma (October 24, 2005, claimed by FAI/Cooperativa Artigiana Fuoco e Affini-occasionalmente spettacolare), the parcel-bomb sent to the Mayor of Bologna Sergio Cofferati (November 2, 2005, claimed by FAI/Cooperativa Artigiana Fuoco e Affini-occasionalmente spettacolare), the devices against the carrabinieri cadets’ barracks in Fossano (June 2, 2006, claimed by FAI/RAT-Rivolta Anonima e Tremenda), the devices placed in the Turin neighbourhood, Crocetta (Mart 7, 2007, claimed by FAI/RAT); among the other actions also the wounding of Adinolfi (May 7, 2012), despite the fact that two comrades have already been convicted and have publicly claimed this attack, to corroborate the crime of association.
It seems that the investigators, felt the need to structure their clues, used even the linguistic and graphology experts, in addition to the electronic and computer surveillance, and tailing.

Probably, the male comrades will be transferred to the prison of AS [high surveillance] in Ferrara, and the female comrades to Rebibbia in Rome, but we prefer to await confirmation before publishing the addresses.

On the night of May 23^rd, the police in Warsaw arrested three anarchists on charges of an alleged arson attempt of a police vehicle. The three were transferred to a remand prison where they are to be held in custody for three months, awaiting trial. They face up to 8 years in prison. Media frenzy broke out over the arrest in the past few days, with high-ranking politicians and experts on terrorism discussing the matter on TV. Photos and video reruns of the arrested walking with chains around their feet and hands are broadcast on public transportation. Letters and texts of the comrades arrested for the expropriation in Kozani (Greece)
On February 1st 2013, 4 anarchists are arrested after a car chase. Two of them were wanted for participation in the anarchist armed group Conspiracy of Cells of Fire. Earlier there was an armed robbery in a bank and a branch of the Greek postal offices by 8 people. During the robbers escape a manhunt begins by the cops. At some point four of the robbers go into the car of a doctor, afer they immobilize his vehicle. Four of them manage to leave and are still wanted to this day (for two of them there are arrest warrants and their photos have been published, while the other two are unknown to the authorities). The rest take the doctor with them as a hostage and continue with their escape in the stolen van they used for the robbery. Cop cars and motorbikes manage to trap the van and arrest the anarchists.

Comrades, everything is at hand, we have to become destroyers and creators of a new language that talks of war on Power and spreads Anarchy. As nihilist anarchists we hate both the hand that holds the whip and the back that endures it and passively accepts flagellation without reacting. We dismantle and destroy all the values of civilization, annihilate the dictatorship of economy by making it void, make the cities of the masses and their authoritarian urbanism crumble, attack the plunder of nature and animal exploitation, hamper dogmatic positions and refuse the religion of scientists.

In fact the essence of what I’m referring to as “civil anarchism” is what we could call a horizontal citizenism which speaks the language of democracy (rights, laws, social inclusion, consensus, protest). Civil society is the non-governmental organisations of democracy and a key part of the spectacle of popular sovereignty. Apart from maintaining democracy’s image of dialogue and permitted dissent, civil society also is a recuperating mediator and handily picks up services for the state and business, curbing some of their excesses to allow the smoother functioning of the system. Many “anarchist” (or rather libertarian) activists work for NGOs, trade unions and the parasitic den of academia. Solidarity is our weapon. Many things have been written and said about solidarity. Usually when there have been so many discussions and so many texts have circulated on a matter, it ends up trite, predictable and without any particular interest. It seems as if its content has run out and it’s constantly being repeated. We believe there are no trite practices, but trite ways of thinking. Particularly today, in the suspicious days we are living in, with the dozens of imprisoned urban guerrillas and anarchists, we should sharpen the blade of solidarity and remove it from its repeated stereotypes that confine us within the nefarious cycle of “freedom to whichever comrade”. Because this way, names change, more are added while others are forgotten, and solidarity remains stagnant and often a privilege of friendly, personal and “public” relations. However, the moment that the names of imprisoned fighters and their cases are browsed through incuriously like pages of an advertising brochure, authority will have won an important bet, the moral extermination of its political opponents. It will have achieved the installation of prison in us as a natural acceptance. [...]

A new era of militancy as insurrectionary ideas spread and grow. As more and more people realise the sheer futility od any attempt at dialogue with a global system which exploits, consumes and kills all that which gets in its way, levels of social insurgence grow correspondingly. If we really believe that freedom is worth fighting for, then we must each of us take action as we see fit. This will inevitably lead some sort of violence, which in turns leads to the inevitable debate about violence - its role, its meaning, its usefulness, its validity. A contribution to the topic of the theory of the practice of Sabotage
The quantitative growth of this practice does not come to us from the hands of propagandists of the spectacle, but rather by taking a walk through the scenario of capitalism, and finding in this drift the burned ATM, the ETTs with shattered windows, the smiths changing the locks of a supermarket. These visions make our complicit smiles blossom and move us to go out that very night to play with fire with the aim of making the same smiles rise on the faces of unknown accomplices through the fellowship of destruction. The number doesn’t matter, but rather the quality of the acts: sabotage, expropriation, self-reduction... they return part of the life that is denied us back to us, but we want it all.

In the chaos of our own existence we are a part of the imponderable element which organizes subversion, plans mutinies, that leave even ourselves dazed. The translation of texts, letters, communiqués, etc. so that comrades in other countries around the world can read about the desires and ideas and projectuality of the comrades in Greece, is one more weapon at our disposal. What began as a simple desire and a challenge, has brought us into a new field of experiences, acquaintances and responsibilities. Now that we’re here, they will not get rid of us easily. We have become another aspect of the asymmetric threat. The war to the end, has already begun. A fundamental element in this war is solidarity. [...] This is why, as individuals with our actions and solidarity, we will continue with all means possible as anarchist revolutionary insurrectionalists, to express our thoughts and desires, whether it’s through the letters-texts of our fighting comrades who are hostages in the hell-holes of Greek democracy or through the actions of the comrades outside in the streets day and night with all means until social liberation for Anarchy. The following is an interview with Jean Weir that originally appeared in issue #8 of the UK anarchist magazine 325. Weir is best known for publishing Insurrection magazine, the Elephant Editions publishing project, translating many germinal Italian insurrectionary anarchist texts, and a lifetime of anarchist struggle. We have chosen to reprint this interview for a few reasons. First, and most importantly, Weir’s lucidity is a trait unfortunately lacking in many of today’s anarchist texts. Rather than create sensationalized portrayals of struggle or romanticized images of the past, Weir opts for modesty and frankness. Secondly, Weir’s analyses of prison, insurrection, clandestinity, and anarchist publishing offer important lessons to anarchists currently setting out on the path of active revolt.

The plan is to empty the prisons of the great majority of prisoners and throw them back into the prison-society using the technology of isolation and control; and for the minority of irreducible rebels, keep them inside for ever. What is being presented as ‘progress’ is nothing other than the advance and spread of repression. This is what the abolitionists are really subscribing to: ‘change everything so that everything remains the same’.

Mothers and Sons: From FIES To Aachen. Pastora and Xose Tarrio Gonzalez - Julia amd Gabriel Pombo Da Silva
Prison Was Created For The Poor focuses on two tireless militants of the Spanish prison struggle, Xose Tarrio Gonzalez and Gabriel Pombo Da Silva, who fought against the brutal F.I.E.S. isolation units. Xose was killed by a life behind bars, and Gabriel spent the half of his life in various prisons. The main part of this book though, is written by neither Xose nor Gabriel, instead it is the text of an interview with their mothers, Pastora and Julia. Through this medium, they tell a powerful and emotional story, which not only takes us inside the world of Spanish high security prisons, but reflects on jails throughout the world.
